Pacific Ethanol has deal to use Chromatin sorghum

In another step to diversify its feedstock base, Sacramento-based Pacific Ethanol Inc. has entered into a multi-year agreement with Chicago-based Chromatin Inc. to use, produce and deliver locally grown sorghum in the production of ethanol, Pacific Ethanol announced Monday. The agreement covers up to 30,000 acres of Chromatin sorghum to be grown and supplied to Pacific Ethanol (NASDAQ: PEIX).
